1. Who we are

Forty5 (“Forty5”, “we”, “us”) is a study app for International Baccalaureate Diploma students, run by [legal name of the business or owner], [address]. You can reach us at forty5support@gmail.com. By using the app or buying a subscription, you agree to these terms.

2. Who can use Forty5

You must be at least 13 years old to use Forty5. If you are under 16, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you. Subscriptions must be bought by an adult, or by a younger user with a parent’s or guardian’s permission.

3. What Forty5 is, and what it is not

Forty5 provides lessons, practice questions, summaries and study tools written to follow IB subject guides. It is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the International Baccalaureate Organization. We work hard to keep the content accurate, but it may contain mistakes, and it does not replace your teachers, the official subject guides or past papers. We do not promise any particular grade or result. If you find an error, please use “Report a problem” in the app.

4. Forty5 Plus subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. When you buy Forty5 Plus, you also agree to Paddle’s buyer terms.

• Plans and prices. Current plans and prices are shown on our pricing page and at checkout. Paddle calculates any sales tax or VAT and shows the total before you pay.
• Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel.
• Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from the link in your receipt email or by contacting us. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Plus until the end of the period you have paid for.
• Free trials. If a plan includes a free trial, you will not be charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel before then at no cost.
• Price changes. If we change the price of a plan, we will tell you before it applies to your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.
• Refunds. Refunds are covered by our refund policy.

5. Using Forty5 fairly

Please do not copy, resell or republish our lessons and questions, share your account or let anyone else sign in to it (each student needs their own account, and an account can be signed in on two devices at a time), try to break or get around the app’s security or payment checks, or use automated tools to scrape the content. Forty5 is for your own study.

6. Content and ideas you send us

If you send us suggestions, problem reports or other feedback, you allow us to use them to improve Forty5 without paying you. Please do not include personal information about other people.

7. Our content

The lessons, questions, explanations, design and software in Forty5 belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own study while these terms apply.

8. Suspending or ending access

You can stop using Forty5 at any time and delete your data from the Settings screen. We may suspend or end access if someone seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. If we end a paid subscription for a reason that is not your fault, we will refund the unused part.

9. Liability

Forty5 is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for exam results, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Forty5 grows. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of [the United Arab Emirates and the relevant emirate], without taking away any consumer protections you have under the laws of the country where you live.
